The passenger traffic of Domodedovo airport was 10.9 million passengers during the first five months of 2013 (+13.6% as compared to the same period of 2012), the airport’s press-service reports.

The passenger traffic on domestic airlines was 4,48 million passengers (+15%). The greatest growth was recorded on the following destinations: Makhachkala, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Mineralniye Vodi, Sochi. The passenger traffic on these destinations was 1.08 million passengers (+31,2%), said in the press-service’s statement.

The passenger traffic on international airlines was 6.42 million passengers during January-May 2013 (+12.7% as compared to the same period of 2012). The greatest growth was been recorded on the following international destinations: Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Antalya, Munich and Yerevan. 1,3  million passengers have been transported on the specified destinations during the period from January to May 2013 (+47.1%). The number of takeoff and landing operations was over 98000 during the period from January to May 2013 (+4.9%).

The cargo traffic of Domodedovo airport during the period from January to May 2013 increased by 4,4% to 76.2 thousand  tons.

Following the results of May 2013 the passenger traffic of Domodedovo airport increased by 13.6% to 2.57 million passengers. The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 4.2% to 22,1 thousand ones.

The greatest increase of passenger traffic in May was recorded on international airlines (+17.2%). The passenger traffic on international airlines was 1.6 million passengers and the passenger traffic on domestic airlines was 976 thousand passengers (+8.2%).

The cargo traffic of Domodedovo airport was 16,6 thousand  tons in May 2013 (+2.1%).
