Irkutsk Aviation Plant delivered three Yak-130 aircraft to the Russian air forces in the network of a state contract

Irkutsk Aviation Plant (branch of Irkut Corporation) delivered three new Yak-130 operational trainers to the Borisoglebsk training center of the Russian air forces, NIA Baikal reports.

It is the first batch of Yak-130s delivered to Russian air forces by the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAP) in 2013. The new jets have tail numbers 46-48 “white”, press-service of IAP reports.

In accordance with the contract signed on December 5th 2011, IAP must deliver 55 Yak-130 operational trainers to the Russian air forces by 2015. It is planned to deliver 15 more jets of the type to the Russian air forces in 2013.

At present Russian air forces are operating 29 Yak-130s (11 of them were manufactured by Nizhny-Novgorod-based Sokol in accordance with the first contract signed in 2010 and the rest 18 ones were manufactured by Irkut Corporation).
