Transaero has finalized the results of its financial activities in 2012 in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards. The company's results demonstrate the increase of its operating efficiency, the company’s press-service reports.
The total revenue of Transaero has reached 97,6 billion rubles in 2012 (+13% as compared to 2011). The revenues from transportation have increased by 35% to 90.3 billion rubles. The revenues from asset management decreased by 64% to 6.8 billion rubles. The sales profit of Transaero reached 7 billion rubles (increased 2.9 times as compared to 2011).
“It should be noted that the airline’s revenues increased faster than the carrier’s costs. The structure of the company’s net profit in 2012 is mostly formed by the profit from its core activities. The total net profit of Transaero was 902 million rubles in 2012. We must also admit that the results of 2012 were obtained under conditions of significant increase of fuel price and social expenditures”, - said in the carrier’s statement.
Transaero noted that these results confirm the viability of the company’s development strategy.
