Boeing, Sberbank and Sberbank Leasing (subsidiary of Sberbank) have reached an agreement on delivery of 12 Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft. The jets will be delivered to Transaero under conditions of operational leasing, Boeing’s press-service reports. 

The contract is assessed at $1 billion at list prices. It paves the way for development of infrastructure for operational leasing of foreign aircraft in Russia. The implementation of this contract allows Sberbank to offer state-of-the-art financial solutions to the carriers. «This agreement is the important milestone and a testament to Sberbank’s commitment to the best solutions in the area of aircraft leasing. The agreement also encourages further development of mutually-beneficial trade and economic relations between Russia and USA, – said German Gref, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank. – Advanced Boeing 737-800 aircraft will help Sberbank provide the highest quality of service in the area of aircraft leasing».
