Aeroflot is on the Forbes Global 2000 list (the list of world’s 2000 largest public companies made by Forbes magazine), the airline’s press-service reports.

«This is the internationally recognized annual ranking made by Forbes magazine since 2004. 2000 companies from 63 countries of the world were included in the list in 2013, - the airline noted. – The company’s position in the list is defined by 4 parameters: revenues, profit, assets and market value. These criteria granted Aeroflot the place among the world’s largest public companies».

Aeroflot is the only Russian airline in the Forbes Global 2000 list this year. A total of 23 airlines from different countries of the world have made the list, said in the carrier’s statement.

«At present Aeroflot is working on creation of an aviation holding consistent with the key players of the global market. The airline intends to be among the world’s top-20 carriers by the passenger traffic and revenues by 2025. The fact that Aeroflot made the list of world’s largest public companies confirms the feasibility of elaborated and implemented strategy», - the airline noted.
