Russian Helicopters Holding Company intends to increase its share at the global market from current 14,5% to 17% by 2020. It was stated by the director of department for market analysis and forecast of Russian Helicopters, Viktor Egorov.
«At present the global helicopter fleet comprises about 60 thousand vehicles. About 14,5% (around 8760 vehicles) of the global helicopter market is accounted for Russia. We intend to increase our share to 17% by 2020», - he said.
According to Egorov, the key markets for Russian Helicopters (besides Russia) are CIS Region, China, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. The share of Russian Helicopters in the segment of combat helicopters is 24% and in the segment of civil helicopters – 9%.
He also underlined that the company is facing the great challenge trying to increase its share at the global market. «It is a great challenge; the market will be growing and the holding’s reserves gained by elimination of competition at the Russian market and establishing new structure will almost be exhausted. We will have to increase the scope of our work in the following areas: increasing the competitiveness and quality of work with the customers, development of new civil helicopters», - he said.
