Aeroflot puts Airbus A320 named after A.Popov into operation

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines took delivery of another Airbus A320. It was named after famous Russian physicist, electrical engineer, professor, inventor of radio, Alexander Stepanovich Popov, the carrier’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

At present, Aeroflot’s fleet comprises 84 А320 Family aircraft; the average age of these liners is 5 years.

All the jets are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer’s site. The jets have a two-class cabin configuration seating 116 (А319), 140 and 158 (А320) and 170 (А321) passengers. Aeroflot operates the A320 Family jets on European and domestic flights. Aeroflot is among the world’s leading companies by service reliability and the actual time in the air per aircraft.

Aeroflot is the General partner of XXII Winter Olympics and XI Paralympic winter games in Sochi in the “Passenger transportation” category.
