Volga-Dnepr Gulf puts a new hangar facility into operation in UAE

Volga-Dnepr Gulf representing the Volga-Dnepr Technics Company in the Middle East has put a new hangar facility into operation in Sharjah (UAE). The hangar facility is intended for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, press-service of Volga-Dnepr Group reports.

The company has successfully placed the first An-124-100 into the hangar. «I congratulate everyone with placing the first aircraft into the hangar facility. This is a very important milestone in the history of Volga-Dnepr Gulf», - Managing Director of VD Gulf, Viktor Sherin, said.

We remind you that the official operating authorization for the new hangar facility located in Sharjah airport was obtained by Volga-Dnepr Gulf on April 8th 2013. The document issued by the civil aviation department of Sharjah confirms that VD Gulf has successfully completed all the procedures in the area of hangar’s safety inspection and the company is ready to provide aircraft MRO services.

«Two wide-body aircraft (Boeing 747 or An-124) or six single-aisle aircraft may be placed into the hangar simultaneously. The facility is equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment for performing safe C-check maintenance of different aircraft types. It is also equipped with state-of-the-art conditioning and fire-extinguishing systems», - said in the company’s statement.
