The Anik-G1 satellite successfully placed into orbit

The Anik-G1 satellite has been successfully placed into orbit and then placed under the customer’s control, press-service of the Federal Space Agency reports.

«In accordance with the flight sequence Anik-G1 satellite separated from Breeze M upper stage at 07:49 Moscow time on April 16th 2013. The satellite was placed under the customer’s control», - said in the statement.

We remind you that the Proton-M launch vehicle with Breeze M upper stage and Anik-G1 satellite was launched on April 15th22:36 Moscow time from the launch site of Baikonur cosmodrome.

The Anik-G1 satellite was developed by Space Systems Loral (Canada) for Telesat Canada satellite operator. It is intended for providing services in the area of live television broadcast.
