The installation of FFS for SSJ100 in Aeroflot’s Aircraft Staff Training Center located at Sheremetyevo airport will allow the carrier to train pilots under its own power. «We are confident that the FFS will allow our launch customer, Aeroflot, to train its pilots for performing flights on Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. The experience in the area of operating the FFS shows that this system is one of the best ones in its class; it is as good as FFS A320 by any definition», - Andrey Kalinovsky, president of SCAC, said.

«FFS for SSJ100 is the next-generation “Reality 7” simulator. The FFS allows carrying out the comprehensive training of pilots for SSJ 100 aircraft in all flight modes and different standard and emergency situations in real-time mode. It has electro-hydraulic movement system, state-of-the-art visualization system with LCOS-projection devices and instructor workstation with improved ergonomics», - SCAC noted.

The FFS delivered to Aeroflot is the third one developed by Thales Training & Simulation in cooperation with SCAC. The first simulator was delivered to Zhukovsky Training Center (Moscow Region) and the second one – to SJI Training Center in Venice (Italy).

The FFS installed in Russia have been approved by the Federal Air Transport Agency and the one installed in Venice was certified by EASA. At present SCAC is working on certification of the FFS delivered to Aeroflot in accordance with the EASA standards. It is planned to put the FFS into service in April.
