The air forces will hand 50 L-410 aircraft over to the Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy this year. The aircraft will be used for training of future troopers, Voenno-promishlenniy Kuryer reports with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the air forces, lieutenant general, Viktor Bondarev.
«50 L-410 turboprops will be handed over to the Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy. The aircraft will be used for training of paratroopers of airborne forces», - V.Bondarev said.
He noted that “some vehicles have already been delivered to the organization and the rest aircraft will be delivered after maintenance in 2013”.
On Monday general V. Bondarev took part in the celebration of 100th anniversary of the fighter pilot, three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Air Marshal, Alexander Pokrishkin.
