The governor of Voronezh Region, Aleksey Gordeev, held a working meeting with CEO of Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC), Alexander Rubtsov, on March 4th 2013, the governor’s press-service reports.
«CEO of the Russia’s leading lessors (in the segment of aircraft leasing) told Aleksey Gordeev about the company’s results in 2012 and the recently signed contracts. In particular, this refers to deliveries of scores of aircraft. According to Alexander Rubtsov, most of these vehicles will be included on IFC’s books and registered in Voronezh Region. In addition, VASO will be taking part in production of MS-21 aircraft by means of delivering composite components», - said in the press-service’s statement.
Aleksey Gordeev and Alexander Rubtsov have also discussed current contracts of IFC, which are being implemented by VASO. IFC intends to deliver two An-148 aircraft (under conditions of financial leasing) to Angara Airlines in the nearest future. Another eight An-148s will be delivered to the carrier later (the jets’ total value is assessed at 7.5 billion rubles). Moreover, the lessor will deliver three An-158 aircraft to Cuba this year. The jets are being manufactured by Kiev-based and Voronezh-based enterprises. Alexander Rubtsov believes that this Russian-Ukrainian cooperation is a promising one, the press-service noted.
Aleksey Gordeev has approved the plans of IFC noting that the parties should continue the development of aircraft production and leasing business in the region, the press-service reports.
