Russia and China signed an agreement on delivery of 24 Su-35 fighters and joint construction of four diesel Lada-class submarines for China during the visit of Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to Moscow on March 22nd – 24th 2013, Voenno-promishlenniy Courier reports with reference to the China Central Television.
«It is the first purchase of Russian advanced weapon systems by China over the last 10 years», - said in the statement. It was noted that “as expected, more agreements in the area of military-technical cooperation will be signed by the parties soon».
Su-35 is the Russian multi-role super-maneuverable 4++-generation fighter developed by Sukhoi design bureau.
