Kazakhstan Engineering and Eurocopter have signed a memorandum of cooperation on production of light ЕС645Т2 attack helicopters in Kazakhstan, press-service of Kazakhstan Engineering reports.

Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Engineering, Bolat Smagulov, and Senior Vice-president of Eurocopter, Olivier Lambert, have signed the memorandum of cooperation on production of the attack helicopters. The memorandum assumes expansion of the product line of Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering joint venture, the press-service noted.

«According to the document, Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering – the only manufacturer of ЕС 145 helicopters in CIS Region – will be assembling and carrying out maintenance of military ЕС 645 Т2 helicopters. The parties believe that the agreements reached will help the JV enter a new stage of its development, launch the assembly (and production of some components) of the high-tech products. ЕС 645 Т2 is one of the latest products in its class. Its serial production has not been launched yet. In case of successful implementation of the agreement Kazakhstan will become one of the leaders in production of light attack helicopters», - said in the statement of Kazakhstan Engineering.
