Dmitry Medvedev: about 70 billion rubles will be allocated for supporting the aircraft industry during the period until 2025

About 70 billion rubles will be allocated for supporting the aircraft industry during the period from 2012 until 2025 (excluding funds allocated in the network of Federal Target Program for development of military-industrial sector), RIA Novosti reports. It was stated by the prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev.

"In the network of implementation of the State Program for development of aircraft industry during the 2012-2025 period it is planned to allocate about 70 billion rubles from the federal budget for renovation of production capacities, implementation of innovative technologies and development of technology advance. Additional funds will be provided in the network of the Federal Target Program for development of military-industrial sector", — Dmitry Medvedev said during a meeting on development of national aircraft industry.

The premier reminded that the profit from selling the aircraft should double by 2018. 230 aircraft and over 400 helicopters should be delivered to Russian and foreign customers during the period.

Medvedev noted that Russia has already provided the enterprises with a serious support: over 71 billion rubles have been allocated for implementation of civil projects during 2008-2012 period and 43 billion more have been provided in the form of state guarantees.

At the same time the prime-minister stated that the industry still has some serious problems. "There are a lot of problems. The debt of United Engine Corporation was over 160 billion rubles in 2012. There are problems related to labor productivity, excessive production assets, outdated equipment and personnel", — Dmitry Medvedev said.
