UTair Aviation and Svyaz-Bank implemented the first deal on refinancing the acquisition of three Mi-8AMT helicopters with the participation of REGION Leasing (part of REGION Group), the carrier’s press-service reports.
«This deal laid a foundation to our partnership with Svyaz-Bank. Thanks to favorable financing terms we have been able to optimize the costs of our company related to our fleet renewal program», – CFO of UTair Aviation, Igor Petrov, said.
«We hope that the expansion of UTair’s fleet financed by our bank will help strengthen the positions of UTair at the global market», – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Svyaz-Bank, Sergey Volokhov, said.
UTair’s Mi-8AMT helicopters are being operated in the network of commercial contracts with European companies. The vehicles are also performing flights on behalf of oil and gas companies in Western and Eastern Siberia. UTiar has been operating Mi helicopters for more than 40 years in different regions and countries of the world. The carrier’s fleet comprises over 330 helicopters, including the world’s largest serial helicopters – Mi-26, the airline explained.
