Progress M-18M transport cargo spacecraft successfully docked with ISS

The docking of Progress M-18M cargo spacecraft with International Space Station (ISS) has been performed on February 11th 2013 at 00.35 Moscow time, the press-service of Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) reports.

 
“The cargo spacecraft has docked with “Pirs” docking compartment. The rendezvous procedure has been performed in automatic mode under control of specialists from Mission Control Center of TSNIIMASH and Russian members of the ISS’ crew: Oleg Novitsky, Evgeny Tarelkin and Roman Romanenko”, - said in the agency’s statement.
 
The spacecraft has delivered different cargo, necessary for maintenance of ISS manned flight and implementation of scientific on-board applied research.

The total weight of delivered cargo was over 2.5 tons. 

We remind you that Soyuz-U carrier rocket with Progress M-18M cargo spacecraft was launched from Baikonur on February 10th at 18.41 Moscow time. The spacecraft has separated from the third stage of the rocket carrier and entered the intended orbit in accordance with the flight sequence.
