The first out of four Airbus A321 aircraft ordered by Yamal Airlines landed at Roshino airport (Tyumen) on December 20th 2013. The jet was delivered to the carrier under an operating lease agreement, the airline’s press-service reports.
“The carrier’s fleet is being expanded in the network of the company’s development program. The jets will be operated on routes "Salekhard – Tyumen - Salekhard" and "Salekhard – Moscow - Salekhard", the most popular ones among citizens of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region. This is the best aircraft in its class in terms of reliability, fuel efficiency and passenger comfort”, - said in the carrier’s statement.
Moreover, Airbus А321 has a passenger capacity of up to 220 seats; its range is 5600 km. This means that additional seats will be available on the abovementioned routes after the jet’s entry into service in December. The aircraft will be based at Roshino airport (Tyumen), the airline noted.
