Aeroflot takes delivery of another Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines took delivery of its second Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft. The jet was named after famous Russian painter, Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev, the carrier’s press-service reports.

"The aircraft was delivered to the carrier under an operating lease agreement signed by Aeroflot and Avia Capital Leasing Limited. One more jet of the type will be delivered to Aeroflot in 2013. This Boeing 737-800NG features a two-class cabin layout: 20 seats in a business class cabin and 138 ones – in the economy class cabin. Business class seats are fitted with monitors used for watching media content. It is planned to launch the “internal” Wi-Fi on the third jet of the type – the service allows passengers to watch the media content using their own gadgets", - the airline noted.

Boeing 737-800s are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer’s facilities. The jet’s range with a maximum payload is 4500 km. The aircraft are powered by CFM56-7В26 engines.
