Russian-produced Yak-130 operational trainer was demonstrated at Baranovichi airfield (Belarus) of the Borisoglebsk training center of the Russian air forces “The Air Force Academy named after N.E. Zhukovsky and Y.A. Gagrin”, press-service of the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation (MoD) reports.

"Yak-130 performed flight to Baranovichi airfield (Belarus) with an intermediate stop at Sesha airfield.
Yak-130 is the next-generation two-seat jet operational trainer intended for pilot training, combat employment under different weather conditions and destruction of air and ground targets", - the press-service noted.

This aircraft demonstrates the parameters close to advanced fighters at subsonic speeds in terms of aircraft performance and maneuverability. That is why it is used for training of future pilots of “4+”-generation and fifth-generation fighters. Moreover, it may be operated from unpaved runways, the press-service added.

Yak-130 operational trainers have been used for training of cadets at air force academies since 2013, the press-service added.
