Deputy Chairman of the government of Russian Federation, Dmitry Rogozin, believes that PAK FA (Russian fifth-generation fighter, which is being developed by Sukhoi Company) is better than F-35 (USA), RIA Novosti reports.

He said at the plenary session of Tekhnoprom international forum held on Friday in Novosibirsk that the price of F-35 (the jet will replace F-16 and F-18 fighters) has already increased from $70 million to $150 million. At that “the date for putting the first vehicle into operation has already been postponed several times and its combat effectiveness raises doubts”.

"On the other hand we believe that our fifth-generation fighter – PAK FA, which is being developed by Sukhoi Company, will outmatch F-35, which is under development in USA", — Rogozin said.
