Federal Space Agency will develop a super-heavy launch vehicle with a lift capacity of 100 tons

A working group headed by the Head of Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) responsible for elaboration of proposals for development of the super-heavy launch vehicle was created by the agency, Interfax reports with reference to the ex-minister of general machinery of USSR, Oleg Baklanov.

"The day before yesterday Roscosmos held a meeting with the participation of directors of our enterprises. A working group was established. Within a short time the group should offer a project for development of a launch vehicle able to place 100 tons of payload into low Earth orbit", - Baklanov said at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Buran’s flight held at S.P. Korolev RSC Energia.

Baklanov said that the head of this working group is Oleg Ostapenko (the head of Roscosmos).
