The elaboration of CIS Convention on multilateral cooperation in the area of space industry will be started in the first quarter of 2014, Kazcosmos reports.
In early 2014 a working group established in the network of Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS countries will start the elaboration of CIS Convention on cooperation in the area of exploration and use of space for peaceful purposes. These plans were unveiled by the participants of consultative meeting held in St. Petersburg and dedicated to the elaboration of the Convention.
Representatives of national parliaments, aerospace agencies, leading scientific research institutes and design bureaus of the space industry of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Russia took part in the meeting.
The parties decided to establish a working group responsible for analyzing the existing contracts, elaborating a concept and draft multilateral agreement for implementing the Convention on cooperation in the area of space industry. The group will be formed in 2013 and it will start working in early 2014.
