The Russia’s largest operation control center (OCC) will be constructed in Vnukovo by the end of 2014 in cooperation with Almaz-Antey concern, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Alexander Vedrov, Director General of Almaz-Antey, Civil and Sensitive Products.
"New special-purpose equipment and software will form the core of the new center in Vnukovo", — Alexander Vedrov said.
According to him, the Russia’s new unique OCC will cover the whole central part of Russia.
"It will manage the flights performed from 14 civil and 21 military airfields and interact with all the adjacent OCCs" — Alexander Vedrov noted. He also said that in fact all the equipment has already been mounted and it will start functioning in test mode in late 2013.
