Russia has offered Peru to purchase Mi-171Sh helicopters and armored vehicles (helicopters are the top-priority product in the network of this offer), RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Director of Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), Alexander Fomin.

"We have made a concrete offer to our Peruvian colleagues regarding purchase of Mi-171Sh helicopters. I cannot discuss the offer’s quantitative aspect, but believe me that the offer includes a significant number of vehicles", - he said while discussing the results of the Russian delegation’s visit to Brazil and Peru.

Alexander Fomin noted that he is referring to technical and commercial proposals, which “are being considered by Peruvian party”. The head of FSMTC added that the Russian party has also elaborated an offer related to purchase of armored vehicles by Peru and successfully demonstrated the vehicles during the visit. In the near term the similar demonstration will be carried out in Russia.

"But the top-priority project is the possible deliveries of Mi-171Sh helicopters, which is in line with Peru’s plans for increasing the mobility of its army", - Alexander Fomin noted.

He also said that Russia intends to overhaul and upgrade another batch of MiG-29 fighters for Peru. "An offer concerning overhaul of Su-25 aircraft has also been presented to the Peruvian party", - Director of FSMTC added.
