The operating profit of Aeroflot Group in the first half of 2013 in accordance with IFRS increased by 70% and amounted to $167 million, the carrier’s press-service reports.

“The revenues of Aeroflot Group increased by 14% and totaled $4,132.6 million in the first half of 2013 (according to IFRS). The revenues from transportation were $3,664.7 million (+16% as compared to the first half of 2012). EBITDA of Aeroflot Group reached $351.9 million (+42%)”, - said in the company’s statement.

Following the results of first half of 2013 the net income of Aeroflot Group amounted to $1.5 million ($7.1 million in the first half of 2012). The main reason for decrease of the Group’s net income in the first 6 months of 2013 as compared to the first half of 2012 is non-cash revaluation of finance lease liabilities denominated in foreign currency.
