Ural Aviation Services, part of UTair Group, has started providing MRO services for Boeing aircraft in the area of A-check class hangar maintenance, the company’s press-service reports.
"The specialists of Ural Aviation Services started carrying out daily maintenance of Boeing aircraft in September 2013. Later in October 2013 they started carrying out more complex types of maintenance including diagnostics of all the aircraft systems, engines, equipment and components, change of oil and special fluids, replacement of units. The enterprise established in 2012 was certified by Bermuda aviation authorities in accordance with OTAR 145 and it successfully passed the EASA PART-145 audit", - the press-service explained.
The total area of Ural Aviation Services’ facilities is 10 thousand square meters; they are located at Ufa International Airport. The hangar leased from the government of Republic of Bashkortostan for the period of 20 years allows carrying out simultaneous maintenance of two aircraft (in future this figure will be increased to four jets).
"200 million rubles have been invested in creation of infrastructure, purchase of equipment and personnel training in order to provide comprehensive MRO services for foreign-produced aircraft. 90 new jobs have been created at the enterprise. In future the staff will be expanded to 200-300 specialists. Republic of Bashkortostan became the third region of Russian Federation to have an enterprise able to carry out hangar maintenance of Boeing aircraft", - UTair noted.
