Proton-M launch vehicle placed Astra-2Е spacecraft into orbit, press-service of the Federal Space Agency noted.

Proton-M launch vehicle with Breeze M upper stage and Astra-2E telecommunication satellite was launched on September 30th at 01:38 (Moscow time) from Baikonur cosmodrome.

In accordance with the flight sequence Breeze M upper stage with Astra-2Е satellite separated from the third stage of the launch vehicle at 01:47 Moscow time on September 30th 2013.

The satellite is intended for provision of services in the area of television broadcasting, VSAT and broadband communication in Europe and Middle East, Federal Space Agency noted.
