Passenger traffic of Russian airlines was over 68.6 million passengers during 11 months of 2012

Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines in January-November 2012. AEX.ru

 
According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 180 773 235,34 thousand passenger-kilometers, (+17,2% as compared to the same period of the last year). The cargo turnover was 4 651 456,33  thousand ton-kilometers (+2,9%).
 
During the accounting period (January-November 2012) Russian carriers have transported 68 639 403 passengers (+15.4% as compared to the same period of 2011). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 898 451,72 tons (+0.7%). The passenger load factor was 78,8% and the commercial load factor was 65.9%.

As for the November statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 5 526 384 passengers (+15.4%) and 93 040,38 tons of cargo and mail (+1%).
 
The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic in January-November 2012 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 16 262 518 passengers (+25,3% as compared to the same period of 2011), Transaero - 9 614 875 passengers (+22.3%), UTair Aviation - 7 151 143 passengers (+35.8%), Siberia - 5 848 321 passengers (+24.1%), Rossiya - 3 958 912 passenger (+20.9%).

These five carriers have transported a total of 42 835 769 passengers (+25.7%) during 11 months, which is equal to 62.4% of the total passenger traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
 
The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 323 258 tons of cargo and mail (-3.6% compared to the same period of 2011), Aeroflot – 177 794,4 tons of cargo and mail (+23%), Volga-Dnepr - 59 777,8 tons of cargo and mail (+7.7%), Transaero – 59 478,2 tons of cargo and mail (+29,1%), Siberia – 33 772,0 tons of cargo and mail (+7.6%).

The above-mentioned five carriers have transported a total of 654 080,4 tons of cargo and mail (+8%) during 11 months, which is equal to 72.8% of the total cargo traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
