The engineering and technical personnel and pilots of Voronezh air base (Western Military District - WMD) have performed flights on new Su-34 bombers and completed the acceptance of the aircraft, press-service of the WMD reports.
«Five advanced Su-34 bombers have taken part in the test flights. The crews of WMD have performed cruising flights, high-altitude and low-level flights, performed different maneuvers and checked the functioning of all the aircraft systems while in flight», - WMD explained.
Prior to the test flights the engineering and technical personnel has carried out acceptance of all the jets. The specialists have performed the walk-around inspection and checked the aircraft’s engines, systems and mechanisms.
The engineering and technical personnel are currently preparing the jets for ferry flight to Voronezh. The ferry flight of five Su-34s to Baltimor airfield is scheduled for January 25th 2013.
