12.4 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget in 2013 for implementation of MS-21 program, Business-TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"The completion of elaboration of the work design documents will be the primary result of 2013", - the Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, noted during the meeting on development of the aircraft. The Minister also added that the amount of finance of MS-21 program will be 12.4 billion rubles in 2013.

"We will use maximum amount of Russian-produced parts during production of MS-21", - Denis Manturov continued. He also reminded that all the standard process documentation has already been delivered to the enterprises involved in the project. The broad classification of supporting materials has been performed and the preparation of workshops is being completed.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, maiden flight of MS-21-200 is scheduled for June 2015. The jet’s certification should be completed in 2017. At present the manufacturer has secured orders for 256 aircraft of the type (135 firm orders).

МS-21 is the advanced medium- and short-haul aircraft, which should replace Tu-154 and Tu-204 aircraft by 2017. The jets will be operated on domestic and international airlines.
