Aeroflot came in second in the rating of European carriers with the highest quality of in-flight meals served onboard of long-haul flights (the duration of flight is over 6 hours), the carrier’s press-service reports.
The airline also came in fifth in the rating of European carriers with the best in-flight menu offered onboard of short-haul flights (the duration of flight is under 6 hours).
The ratings have been made on the basis of in-flight catering studies carried out annually by Skyscanner.ru – the popular global travel search site. Over 550 passengers have taken part in the survey. They were asked to rate the in-flight meals offered by the leading European airlines in three categories: taste, presentation and choice. Aeroflot was the only Russian carrier to enter top-5 of the rating both on long-haul and short-haul flights, the airline noted.

Aeroflot is doing its best to strengthen its positions as one of the Europe’s leading companies that is why the carrier renews its in-flight menu every quarter. The particularities of provision of meals by the world’s best airlines are studied during the preparation of menu and Aeroflot’s frequent fliers take part in dedicated group studies. CEO of Aeroflot Vitaly Savelyev, frequent fliers of Aeroflot, company’s key partners, top-management of the company and mass media representatives take part in the degustation of new starters, soups, main dishes and desserts”, - the press-service noted.
Aeroflot takes care of its passengers seeking to meet all kinds of their requirements and it plans to expand the variety of the offered dishes increasing the in-flight service level, said CEO of Aeroflot, Vitaly Savelyev.
