A total of 1.9 million passengers made use of Emelyanovo airport’s services in 2012 (116% as compared to 2011). It is the highest yearly passenger traffic in the airport’s history, the airport’s press-service reports.

At that, the passenger traffic on the international airlines has reached 600 thousand passengers (+22%). The passenger traffic on the domestic airlines was 1.3 million passengers in 2012 (+14%). Theairporthasservicedover 13570 flights (+3%).

«The increase of passenger traffic continued in 2012. Providing that this trend continues the airport will service at least 2 million passengers this year», - the airport noted.

The airport’s performance indicators increased in December 2012. According to the statistics, a total of 150 thousand passengers made use of the airport’s services in December (+13%).

The passenger traffic of Emelyanovo airport on the international airlines was 54 thousand passengers in December 2012 (133% as compared to the same period of 2011). The flights to popular resorts of South-East Asia and China were in demand on the eve of New Year. The passenger traffic has significantly increased on the following destinations: Bangkok (+40%), Phuket (+138%), Nha Trang (+419%).  The number of passengers flying to Dubai (UAE) has increased 2.5 times, the press-service noted.

As for the neighboring countries, the passenger traffic increased in December on the following destinations due to increase of flight frequencies: Baku (+96%), Khudzhand (+52%), Dushanbe (+25%).

Over 96 thousand passengers have been serviced on domestic airlines (105% as compared to the last year). The most significant increase of passenger traffic was recorded on the following destinations: Khabarovsk, Vladivostok ( +77%);  Moscow (+14%); St. Petersburg ( +10%).
