UTair Aviation has transported more than 9.3 million passengers and 192.7 thousand tons of cargo in 2012

Following the results of 2012, UTair Group, the largest international aviation group, which is working on four continents, has demonstrated the sustainable growth of its indicators, the airline’s press-service reports. 

According to the results of 12 months of 2012, the UTair Group has transported 9 385 398 passengers (+24.3% as compared to 2011). The passenger turnover was 16 072 900,2 thousand passenger-kilometers (+29.4%). According to the current data of transport clearing house, the industry average rate of growth was 17,3 %.
 
“The Russia’s largest fleet comprising around 200 aircraft and 350 helicopters has been taking part in the implementation of UTair Group’s program. The total flight duration of aircraft owned by UTair was 463 847 hours (+16,7% as compared to 2011). The aircraft have transported 192 702,2 tons of cargo (+ 9,1 %). The passenger load factor was 74.3% (+1.2% as compared to 2011)”, - the airline noted.

The Group took delivery of three long-haul wide-body Boeing 767-200 aircraft in 2012. The upgrade of the carrier’s fleet allowed expanding its route network and opening about 30 new destinations to Russian and foreign cities: Fergana, Salonika, Kiev, Trabzon, Yerevan, Baku, Lvov, Tambov, Makhachkala, Yoshkar-Ola, Kursk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Tomsk and Noyabrsk. The air links between Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan, Novosibirsk and Blagoveshensk, Arkhangelsk and Naryan-Mar have been established.

The Group’s helicopters have been performing all kinds of work in the course of the year, including transportation of oversized cargo, VIP-flights and fire-fighting in Russia and other countries. UTair’s helicopters are also taking part in the construction of Olympic objects in Sochi. Taking into account the experience in the area of mountain flying the company intends to expand its activities in the Northern Caucasus. 

A unique operation has been completed by the company’s Mi-26T in spring – it has transported two airframes of Mi-26T helicopters for about 2000 km using external load.

The fleet of UTair’s helicopters was also upgraded: the company took deliveries of Eurocopter AS350/355, Robinson R-44 andМi-171 helicopters, the carrier’s press-service noted.
