Four new aircraft with a total value of over $524 mln will be purchased for the Department of Presidential Affairs of RF

The government acquires four new aircraft with a total value of over $524 million (17 billion rubles) for Rossiya special aircraft division of Department of Presidential Affairs of RF, Gazeta.ru reports.

The corresponding decree was signed by premier-minister Dmitry Medvedev on September 1st.

The construction of two new Il-96-300PU(М1) will cost $320,56 million (10,4 billion rubles). Over $154.12 million (5 billion rubles) have already been invested in construction of these aircraft in 2010–2011, two more billion roubles will be invested in 2012 and over 3 billion roubles – in 2013.

A total of $209,6 million (6,8 billion rubles) will be allocated for acquisition of two new А319АСJ jets, at that over $123,29 million (4 billion roubles) have already been allocated for these purposes in 2010–2011 and the rest $61,64 million (2 billion roubles) will be allocated this year.
