Mi-8T helicopter powered by new ТV3-117-VМА-SBМ1V (4Е-series) engines was able to climb to the altitude of 8200 meters.
«This record was set in order to demonstrate the capabilities of old vehicles powered by new engines. The service life of its airframe and the helicopter’s life cycle have been extended in accordance with the requirements of Russian operating agencies», - press-service of Motor Sich cited Vyacheslav Boguslaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
