Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has acquired Airbus A330 -300. The aircraft has been named after Ivan Petrovich Kulibin, the outstanding Russian mechanical engineer and inventor, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
Thus, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 20 long-haul A330 family aircraft. This jet was delivered to the carrier in accordance with the contract on delivery of 11 A-330-300s signed by Aeroflot and Airbus in 2010, the airline explained.
A330 -300 jets are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The aircraft has a range of 8100 km. Its capacity is 296 passengers. The jets are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 772В engines.
Aeroflot has acquired this A330 -300 in a two-class cabin configuration: 28 seats in business-class and 268 – in the economy-class. The new jets are prepared for installation of equipment providing an access to internet and mobile services for the passengers. A330 aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art Panasonic eX2 in-flight entertainment system, the passengers of every class have an access to a new entertainment program.
"A 330 wide-bodies provide a high level of comfort enabling usage of chair configuration and classes of service able to meet different passengers’ requirements. I.Kulibin is the seventh aircraft with a renewed business-class cabin. It is equipped with comfortable B/E Minipod Full-Flat chairs made by B/E Aerospace. The seat pitch has been increased”, - Aeroflot noted.
