United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) intends to start a loss-free working in 2 or 3 years. It was reported by the UAC president, Mikhail Pogosyan, ITAR-TASS reports.
"Our revenues will reach 200 billion rubles this year and we will have a loss of about 5% of the revenues", - he noted adding that “earnings from sales of military aircraft cannot compensate the development of all three UAC’s branches of activities".
"At this stage we have been unable to settle the situation without significant state support because a large amount of investments is required and our enterprises had a lot of accrued liabilities, - Pogosyan explained. – And the present model rests on significant state support on one side: in the military segment we are investing our earnings from sales of military vehicles, but we are not earning enough to develop transport and civil aviation simultaneously. In the civil segment we are actively attracting partners: in the network of "Sukhoi Superjet-100" program we are interacting with our Italian colleagues from Alenia Aermacchi, forming part of Finmeccanica".
"In future we will increase output and the model will change along with the share of investments in the company’s development by means of implementation of our programs. Thus the share of state support will gradually decrease", - Pogosyan noted.
