Boeing and S7 Training announced the upgrading of FFS Next Generation 737

Boeing and S7 Training announced the upgrading of Full-Flight Simulator for Boeing-737 Next-Generation aircraft, Boeing reports. AEX.ru

«The simulator is now equipped with advanced Rockwell Collins EP1000 visual display system, which further improves the quality of training provided to our clients, - said director of S7 Training, Oleg Vasilyev. – We are the only center in Russia, which provides training on FFS Next-Generation 737, and we are delighted to announce that we have already trained 1500 specialists since the beginning of our partnership with Boeing in December 2009. The upgrading will help increase the operating efficiency of the simulator».

The Rockwell Collins EP1000 visual display system provides high-definition visual scene with superior realism and unmatched reliability. The system includes a wide range of visual effects, which provides line oriented flight training (close to the real-life environment in the airports). It is the latest update in the network of Boeing’s strategy for provision of teaching aids with the advanced visual display systems, the company noted.

«Boeing is constantly improving its simulators all over the world in order to conform to the engineering and functional innovations constantly implemented on our aircraft, - said Bob Bellito, Director on international sales, Boeing Flight Services. – The last upgrade of our Moscow simulator reflects these innovations providing our Russian customers with the advanced technologies and competitive edge».

Alexey Kulmanakov, the head of flight-guidance department of S7 Airlines became the first instructor to carry out training on the upgraded simulator. «It simulates the flight conditions very close to the real-life environment. Now the pilot training will be more qualitative and realistic. The constant upgrading of the simulators is very important for us. Thanks to these changes our center is able to provide the best training conditions», - Alexey Kulmanakov said.
