Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines in August and 8 months of 2012. AEX.ru

According to this statistics, Russian airlines have transported 8 214 243 passengers (+6% as compared to August 2011). During the accounting period (January-August 2012) Russian carriers have transported 48 506 582 passengers (+13.9% as compared to the same period of 2011).

Passenger turnover of the airlines was 20 879 281.18 thousand passenger-kilometers in August 2012  (+5,5%), . The cargo turnover was 423 782.09 thousand ton-kilometers (-0,1%). As for eight months of 2012, the passenger turnover of the airlines was 127 169 286.06 thousand passenger-kilometers, (+15,6%); the cargo turnover was 3 256 739.06 thousand ton-kilometers (+3%).

Moreover, Russian airlines have transported 80 415.37 tons of cargo and mail in August (-2.4%). During the accounting period (January-August 2012) Russian carriers have transported 626 319.27 tons of cargo and mail +1.2%).
