Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines in January-July 2012. AEX.ru
According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 106 290 004.88 thousand passenger-kilometers, (+17,8% as compared to the same period of the last year). The cargo turnover was 2 833 540.25 thousand ton-kilometers (+3,6%).
During the accounting period (January-July 2012) Russian carriers have transported 40 292 339 passengers (+15.7% as compared to the same period of 2011). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 546 507.42 tons (+2.1%). The passenger load factor has remained at 77,4% mark and the commercial load factor was 64.9%.
As for the July statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 8 348 868 passengers (+10.7%) and 78 287.16 tons of cargo and mail (-9.8%).
The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic in January-July 2012 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 9 731 251 passengers (+26,2% as compared to the same period of 2011), Transaero - 5 589 146 passengers (+24.9%), UTair - 4 288 388 passengers (+47.1%), Siberia - 3 414 647 passengers (+22.8%), Rossiya - 2 384 117 passenger (+24.8%).
The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 201 824.1 tons of cargo and mail (-0.4% compared to the same period of 2011), Aeroflot – 107 278.4 tons of cargo and mail (+26.3%), Volga-Dnepr - 40 193.6 tons of cargo and mail (+11.2%), Transaero – 33 295.2 tons of cargo and mail (+29,4%), Siberia – 19 883 tons of cargo and mail (+2.2%).
