SAT Airlines acquired another DHC-8-300 aircraft

SAT Airlines leased another new aircraft in the network of its fleet renewal program. The aircraft manufactured by Bombardier (Canada) in the airline’s livery landed in Sakhalin Region on August 28th 2012, the carrier’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

"This turboprop is the sixth Bombardier aircraft in the fleet of SAT Airlines. DHC-8 has approved itself during operation by SAT Airlines on local routes. The carrier has been operating An-24 aircraft earlier", - SAT Airlines explained.

The DHC-8-300 aircraft, manufactured by Bombardier in 2000, will be performing flights to Okha, Yuzhno-Kurilsk and Kurilsk. DHС-8-300 is a regional aircraft with range of 1500 km.

"The new SAT Airlines’ aircraft is comfortable and it has relatively large seat pitch. The advanced noise suppression system of Dash-8 allows communicating without elevating voice. The cabin configuration of DHC-8-300 includes 50 seats in economy class. The aircraft is certified in accordance with Russian regulations", - the airline noted.

The SAT Airlines’ experience in the area of operation of the aircraft’s previous modifications in accordance with contracts with oil and gas companies will help the carrier operate the new vehicle safely and provide regular transportation on local routes of Sakhalin Region.
