"The creation of new squadron will help regulate the training of flight personnel and avoid risks connected with permitting the unskilled personnel to perform flights. The creation of this squadron is important in view of planned expansion of Rossiya’s production plan for 2013 and onwards assuming significant expansion of air staff ", - Director of flight operation department, Vadim Sergeevich Maslov, said.
One of the main tasks of the new division is achievement of professional qualification (set by the Rossiya’s standards) by the trainees. The training squadron will also allow assessing professional, moral and business qualities of the candidates in order to make right personnel-related decisions and form balanced attachments within the crew and the whole collective. The division is responsible for supervising the implementation of procedures related to apprenticeship agreements of the flight personnel, the airline explained.
The new squadron is tightly integrated into the training process. It is the structural division of the flight engineering standards service of the flight operation department. Many specialists of the department have a status of an instructor. At the final stage of their training the pilots from the training squadron will be taking part in the flight operation under the guidance of training personnel in order to complete their training.
At present the squadron needs a co-pilot for Airbus A319 aircraft. Active pilots, graduates of flying schools and, in particular cases, individuals, who have passed retraining from the other flight specialties or military aviation, may qualify for the job.
Following the results of retraining and flight operation under the guidance of instructors, the pilot may qualify for the steady employment, Rossiya noted.
