As noted by Dmitry Rogozin, the first transport Il-476 aircraft was produced by the Ulyanovsk-based enterprise. The vehicle should perform its maiden flight in September. 

«Directly after this, in accordance with the instruction of President Vladimir Putin, a contract on delivery of a few score of these aircraft to the Russian air forces will be signed. In principle, this aircraft has a great civil importance and export potential. In the eye of the enterprise this contract gives workload first of all. Itisthefirstsmallbutlong-awaitedorder. It will help create new jobs and, according to the assessments of specialists, it will require the expansion of production areas. In addition, it is expected that the enterprise will be carrying out repair and upgrade of An-124 Ruslan aircraft of Russian air forces and private carriers. Thus the Ulyanovsk-based plant will be given a full load of work until 2020», - vice-premier stated.
