Transaero and Virgin Atlantic signed an interline agreement

Transaero and Virgin Atlantic have signed a code-sharing agreement, which expands the geography of flights for both carriers, Transaero’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

"In accordance with the agreement Transaero flights on Moscow – London route will have UN/VS code shared with Virgin Atlantic. At the same time the flights of Virgin Atlantic between London and Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Orlando will be performed under the joint VS/UN code. The agreement assumes that both partners may sell the tickets for the codeshare flights freely", - the airline noted.

CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, said: «We are delighted to start our cooperation with Virgin Atlantic, one of the world’s most famous airlines. I am confident that this mutually profitable partnership will be a long-standing and successful one. The most important thing is that we are creating new opportunities for our passengers and this agreement was signed for their convenience».

Julie Southern, Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic, said: «We are excited to announce the signing of new code-sharing agreement with Transaero. Our passengers will be able to take the advantage of this new partnership and we are ready to welcome Transaero’s passengers on our flights».

The agreement was signed by CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, and Director of Commercial & Revenue Planning of Virgin Atlantic, Edmond Rose.
