Aeroflot Group has been acknowledged as one of the key players of the world’s air transport industry. The international ratings based on the results of 2011 financial year in civil aviation segment are testifying this fact, Aeroflot’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
According to Air Transport World (ATW), authoritative international magazine, Aeroflot Group was among Top-10 airlines of the world by net profit in 2011. This indicator has almost doubled as compared to 2010 and reached $491,3 million. Therefore, the Group entered the Top-10 from the 23rd place (2010).
The Group also moved from 22nd place to the 15th one by another important indicator – operating profit ($585,3 million in 2011).
These are especially remarkable milestones since they were achieved under conditions of additional expenses connected with integration of assets previously owned by Russian Technologies State Corporation into the Group.
