Over 110 military aircraft will participate in the parade dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Russian air forces, which will be held in Zhukovsky (Moscow Region) on August 2nd 2012, ARMS-TASS reports with reference to the official representative of the Russian air forces, Colonel Vladimir Drik.
"Over 110 aircraft from all the arms of the service involved in the demonstration flights at Ramenskoye airfield started performing the planned flights. The training of aircraft cells is carried out using base and off-base airfields of the air forces", - he noted.
Over 50 aircraft of operational-tactical aviation will participate in the event; among them are Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-34, МiG-29, МiG-31 and Yak-130; nine aircraft of the long-range aviation: Тu-22М3, Тu-95МS and Тu-160; about 20 aircraft of military-transport and special aviation. The army aviation will be represented by 20 helicopters: Мi-8, Мi-28, Мi-35, Ка-52, Мi-26 and Ansat.
In addition, the reconstructed aircraft manufactured during the First and Second World War; aircraft of Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Forces and Navy; and foreign aerobatic teams will perform demonstration flights.
