Russian airlines have transported more than 31,9 million passengers during six months of 2012

Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines in January-June 2012. AEX.ru

According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 84 774 420.68 thousand passenger-kilometers, (+18,8% as compared to the same period of the last year). The cargo turnover was 2 429 547.13 thousand ton-kilometers (+5,8%).

During the accounting period (January-June 2012) Russian carriers have transported 31 943 471 passengers (+17% as compared to the same period of 2011). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 468 220.26 tons (+4.4%). The passenger load factor has remained at 75,6% mark and the commercial load factor was 63.7%.

As for the June statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 7 440 157 passengers (+13.5%) and 74 848.13 tons of cargo and mail (-7%).

The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic in January-June 2012 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 7 938 444 passengers (+27,2% as compared to the same period of 2011), Transaero - 4 345 147 passengers (+26.2%), UTair - 3 570 805  passengers (+53.4%), Siberia - 2 716 131 passengers (+21%), Rossiya - 1 857 665 passenger (+25.1%).

The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 173 394.3 tons of cargo and mail (+2.6% compared to the same period of 2011), Aeroflot – 91 247.4 tons of cargo and mail (+27.6%), Volga-Dnepr - 35 234 tons of cargo and mail (+16.3%), Transaero – 27 384.3 tons of cargo and mail (+29,6%), Siberia – 16 863 tons of cargo and mail (0%).
