Two Boeing aircraft have joined the fleet of Transaero on July 4th 2012 in the network of the carrier’s program for fleet expansion. These are Boeing 737-800 NG and Boeing 737-700 NG, the carrier’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
Both jets have a two-class cabin configuration. The capacity of Boeing 737-800 is 154 seats: 16 seats in business class and 138 ones in the economy class. Boeing 737-700 is intended for transportation of 128 passengers: 8 seats in business class and 120 ones in the economy class. Transaero has already acquired a total of 16 aircraft in 2012, the airline noted.
Thus the total number of aircraft in the fleet of Transaero has reached 90 ones: 21 Boeing 747s, 13 Boeing 777s, 15 Boeing 767s, 38 Boeing 737s and 3 Тu-214s.
CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, said: «Now our fleet includes 90 aircraft. This is not only an impressive figure but also the vivid indication of consistent implementation of our plans on expansion and renewal of our fleet by means of acquiring the most advanced aircraft. On behalf of our passengers we will continue to implement this strategy and the firm contracts on delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380 aircraft signed by Transaero in 2012 are another testament to our intensions».
