Moscow Domodedovo airport, TUI Russia & CIS Tour Company and Kolavia have held a joint press-conference dedicated to launch of first flights under the brand of the tour operator in Russia, the airport’s press-service reports. AEX.ru
The event with the participation of more than 40 representatives of the largest tour companies and mass media has taken place onboard of Airbus A321 in TUI’s livery. The new service is provided to the passengers of the Russia’s largest airport – Domodedovo (30% of its passenger traffic is accounted for tourism market), Domodedovo noted.
"The presented business model is one of the variants of Russian tourism market’s future development, – Vladimir Kaminin, Director of Moscow Domodedovo airport, Marketing, noted. – We are trying to turn away from common charter flights step-by-step in favor of regular flights. The cooperation between TUI, Kolavia and Moscow Domodedovo airport allows controlling the service throughout the journey. Together we will reach the highest service quality, which will make tourists come back again and again".
The concept being implemented by the tour operator allows implementation of international service standards at every stage of working with tourists: from the purchase of a tour to home-coming. The tour operator has chosen Kolavia as a partner and the airline has carried out re-branding of three Airbus A321s in accordance with European TUI’s standards. In particular, the airline’s personnel have passed training under the supervision of UK trainers; the attendants’ uniform, design of snack-boxes and menu were changed. The livery of these jets was also changed – the distinctive smile (TUI brand) appeared on the airframe and aft body.
Kolavia will be performing the most part of charter TUI Russia & CIS flights on the most popular among Russians routes: Egypt, Turkey, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Greece, etc. In future the jets will be performing charter long-haul flights under TUI brand.
